BUDGET PLANNING (ARTS), SCHOOL ASSISTANCE DOCUMENT
Assistance for schools: Budget planning is now taking place for Fiscal Year 2009-2010 and your school will need to access its own funding sources to support your arts teachers, arts instruction and arts programming. Commencing July 7, 2009, centrally allocated accounts designated for the visual and performing arts will no longer be available. Teachers, generalist and specialist, will need to work with principals and school site councils to determine the arts instructional needs at each site. This will include materials, equipment, supplies, professional development, lead teacher compensation, field trips, tickets, arts textbooks and arts program contracts. >
